Personal Data (Privacy) Policy Statement (“Privacy Statement”)
YesJob pledges to ensure the strictest standards of security and confidentiality in respect of all personal information and data that is submitted by users via a Site and that YesJob will not, subject to the Terms and Conditions herein, release such information to anyone without the prior consent of the relevant user(s) of a Site (whether registered or not) (“User(s)”).
Users are strongly recommended to read this Privacy Statement carefully so as to have a clear understanding of YesJob’s policy and practices with regard to the treatment of personal information and data provided by Users on a Site. This Privacy Statement is applicable to both registered and unregistered Users, and the terms herein may be updated, revised, varied and/or amended from time to time as YesJob may deem necessary and/or appropriate and at YesJob’s sole discretion.
By registering for or using the services/ a Site, or by clicking on any register / download button, a User:
- consents to YesJob collecting, using, storing, disclosing and/or processing a User’s personal data for the purposes as described below;
- consents to YesJob disclosing Users’ personal data to any of YesJob’s third party service providers or agents (whether within or outside Indonesia) for the purposes as described below.

In this Privacy Statement, the following terms shall have the respective meanings specified below unless the context otherwise requires:
- "YesJob" means PT YESJOB TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA, or any YesJob company whether a parent or subsidiary of PT YESJOB TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA.
- “Employer” means any company or individual who registers a YesJob Employer Account.
- “Job Seeker” means anyone that downloads the YesJob Smartphone Mobile Application and registers their profile data.
- “Site” means any YesJob website or smartphone mobile application owned and operated by YesJob and its affiliates/subsidiaries or its service providers.
- “Service” means any YesJob service provided through any YesJob Site
- The terms “you”, “user” and “users” refer to all and any individuals or entities that access and/or use any YesJob Site at any time for any reason or purpose whatsoever.
- “Sign up User(s)” means any User who signs up or registers or downloads on a Site to obtain services offered by YesJob.
Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Data
In the course of using a Site, Users may disclose or be asked to provide personal information and/or data. In order to have the benefit of and enjoy various services offered by a Site, it may be necessary for Users to provide YesJob with certain personal information and/or data. Although Users are not obliged to provide the information and/or data as requested on a Site, YesJob will not be able to render certain services on a Site in the event that Users fail to provide such information.
YesJob’s purposes for collecting and using information and data on a Site include but are not limited to the following:
- for the daily operation of the services provided to Users on a Site;
- to assist Job Seekers to find appropriate employment with Employers and to assist Employers to assess the suitability of Job Seekers for job vacancies for a wide spectrum of jobs and industries;
- to connect Employers with Job Seekers that apply for a job vacancy advertised on a Site by the Employer;
- to provide Users with various services offered by the Site and newsletters, job openings and promotional and marketing materials
- to handle and follow up on enquiries, requests and complaints from Users;
- to contact Users regarding administrative notices and communications relevant to his/her use of the Site and to respond to Users’ inquiry or request;
- to allow for advertising;
- to assist YesJob with developments for future marketing and promoting purposes or other internal purposes;
- to verify the identity of Users who have posted advertisements, materials, representations, messages, views or comments or such other information (collectively “Information”) on a Site;
- to identify Users who have viewed the Information posted on a Site;
- to allow Users to enjoy their benefits as members of a Site by enrolling for events and promotions hosted by YesJob and or partner companies;
- to identify Users who have enjoyed their benefits as members of a Site by receiving and using marketing promotional materials;
- to facilitate YesJob and/or its affiliates to use a Users’ personal data for the purposes relating to the provision of services offered by YesJob and marketing / advertising services and/or events of YesJob and/or its affiliates;
- to obtain statistics about Users to analyze usage of a Site in order to help its further development for internal use; and
- for purposes other than the above mentioned which are related to YesJob and/or its affiliates’ provision of their products and/or services as YesJob may deem fit.
YesJob strives to only collect personal data which is deemed necessary in relation to the purposes set out hereinabove.
If YesJob requires the use of your personal data for a purpose other than those set out hereinabove, we will request your prescribed consent to the same.
Collection of Personal Data
YesJob may collect personal information and/or data about a User such as his/her name, login ID and password, address, email address, phone number, age, gender, date of birth, country of residence, nationality, education level, work experience etc that is/are not otherwise publicly available. Occasionally, YesJob may also collect additional personal information and/or data from a User in connection with contests, surveys, or special offers.
Only duly authorized staff of YesJob will be permitted to access Users’ personal information and data, and YesJob shall not release such personal information and data to any third parties save and except for the circumstances listed out under the section headed “Disclosure or Transfer of Data” and as prescribed in YesJob’s Terms and Conditions.
Disclosure or Transfer of Data
YesJob agrees to take all practicable steps to keep all personal information and data of Users confidential and/or undisclosed, subject to the following.
Generally speaking, YesJob will only disclose and/or transfer Users’ personal information and/or data to YesJob personnel and staff for the purpose of providing the YesJob services to Users and to corporate clients of YesJob who have made specific requests for such information and/or data with the Users’ prior consent. However, YesJob may disclose and/or transfer such information and/or data to third parties under the following circumstances:
- where the information and/or data is disclosed and/or transferred to any third party suppliers or external service providers who have been duly authorized by YesJob to use such information and/or data and who will facilitate the services on a Site, under a duty of confidentiality;
- where the information and/or data is disclosed and/or transferred to any agents, affiliates or associates of YesJob who have been duly authorized by YesJob to use such information and/or data;
- where permitted under the “YesJob Terms and Conditions”;
- where YesJob needs to protect and defend its rights and property;
- where YesJob considers it necessary to do so in order to comply with the applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation compliance with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on a Site;
- where YesJob deems it necessary in order to deliver the products and services that YesJob offers and cultivate a positive user experience; and
- where YesJob deems it necessary in order to maintain and improve the services on a Site.
Personal data collected via a Site may be transferred, stored and processed in any country in which YesJob chooses. By using a Site, a User agrees, consents to and authorizes YesJob to disclose and/or transfer their personal information and data under the circumstances stated above, as well as to any transfer of information (including the Information) outside of the Users’ country where required.
Employer Job Vacancies
When an Employer creates a job vacancy listing on a Site the Employer consents to YesJob using any information provided when the Employer registered an Employer Account and when an Employer created the job listing vacancy to advertise such job vacancy on a Site.
Job Seeker Job Applications
Applying to a job advertised on a YesJob Site is a free and optional service that requires Job Seekers to complete and provide certain mandatory data fields so that Employers can assess, identify and contact relevant Job Seekers that have applied to their job vacancy using a Site. When a Job Seeker clicks or swipes “Interested” on a job vacancy they are applying for such job vacancy on a Site. When a Job Seeker applies for a job vacancy on a Site any personal data that YesJob has about the Job Seeker, including any documents submitted by the Job Seeker, can be:
- forwarded to the relevant Employer and/or its nominated representative; and/or
- stored in the relevant Employers’ Web Portal Employer Account job vacancy database.
The YesJob Employers’ Web Portal Employer Account allows Employers to easily and effectively manage their recruitment process via one central facility made available by YesJob.
By applying to a position advertised on a Site a Job Seeker is requesting that YesJob pass any information that YesJob has regarding the Job Seeker to the relevant Employer and/or their nominated representative. Any questions a Job Seeker has relating to a position advertised on a YesJob Site, their job application and/or the status of their job application must be referred by the Job Seeker directly to the Employer or the Employer’s nominated agent, not to YesJob.
Any Personal Information retained by YesJob as part of a Job Seeker’s job application on a Site will only be used in accord with this Privacy Statement. The use of Job Seeker information (personal or otherwise) by Employers is not within the control of YesJob and if a Job Seeker has any questions about how an Employer uses personal information or wants to request access to any personal information that the Job Seeker has sent as part of a job application or that has been provided to an Employer as part of a YesJob Digital CV Profile (as defined below), the Job Seeker has the right to contact that Employer directly.
Any Job Seeker using a Site agrees and acknowledges that YesJob has no control over or liability for personal data as used by an Employer which YesJob provides to such Employer as part of a Job Seeker’s job application to such Employer via the Site.
YesJob Digital CV Profile
YesJob creates a Digital CV Profile of all Registered Job Seeker Users. A YesJob Digital CV Profile can include all and any personal information that YesJob has collected from the Job Seeker User.
Employers will only receive a Job Seekers Digital CV Profile if a Job Seeker has applied to a job vacancy advertised by that Employer via a Site.
Where a Job Seeker has applied to a job vacancy via a Site the Employer that advertised such job vacancy will have access to the Job Seeker’s up-to-date profile information, including all or any information that the Job Seeker has submitted to YesJob as part of registration or updated over time.
Where a Job Seeker has clicked “Interested” and applied to an Employers job vacancy via a Site and subsequently the Job Seeker has changed his/her mind and chosen to select “Not Interested” for such Job Vacancy, the Employer will still have been able to view the Job Seeker’s profile data up until the time the Job Seeker has selected “Not Interested”.
All information provided by a Job Seeker to create a YesJob Digital CV Profile may be used by YesJob for the purpose of performing its services via a Site.
When a Job Seeker creates a YesJob Digital CV Profile a Job Seeker consents to their profile being viewed and/or accessed by an Employer using a Site of any member of the YesJob Group when the Job Seeker applies to that Employer’s job vacancy, which may result in the transfer of personal data to other countries in which the Employer listing the job vacancy is located.
Registered Job Seeker Users can modify and update / change their YesJob Digital CV Profile at any time, by going to the Profile area of the Site.
A Job Seeker may also elect to deactivate / delete their YesJob Digital CV Profile altogether. Deleted YesJob Digital CV Profile data will still however be stored by YesJob for an indefinite amount of time as the Job Seeker may choose to reactivate their YesJob account again in the future.
YesJob reserves the right to disable or delete a YesJob Digital CV Profile at any time at its sole discretion.
Employers that place job vacancy advertisements on a YesJob Site, and/or that purchase YesJob services, are asked by YesJob to comply with all relevant laws and obligations relating to the use and disclosure of personal information. The use of a Job Seeker’s information (personal or otherwise) by Employers is not within the control of YesJob and YesJob cannot and does not accept responsibility for the conduct of Employers.
Advertisements / Marketing Materials
YesJob and its affiliates may from time to time send to Users of the Site or post on a Site advertisements from YesJob or any 3rd party or other marketing materials based on the personal information and data that YesJob has about a User. YesJob may receive money or other property in return for providing such services to 3rd parties.
Access to or request for correction of data
Any User is entitled to request access to or make amendments to his/her own personal information and data kept with YesJob by contacting YesJob at the enquiry email address detailed below.
A User may alternatively edit, amend or delete his/her personal information and data at any time by logging into the appropriate section of a Site (whether Employer or Job Seeker).
In the event that a User wishes to access or amend his/her personal information and data, YesJob may request him/her to provide personal details in order to verify and confirm his/her identity.
Cookies and Log Files
YesJob does not collect any personally identifiable information from any Users whilst they visit and browse a Site. When Users access a Site, YesJob records their visits only and does not collect their personal information or data. The Site’s server software will also record the domain name, server, address and track the pages a User visits and store such information in “cookies”, and gather and store information like internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data in log files. All these are done without Users being aware that they are occurring.
Users can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but Users can modify their individual browser settings to decline cookies if they prefer. However, Users should note that disabling cookies on their browser may prevent them from taking full advantage of a Site.
YesJob does not link the information and data automatically collected in the above manner to any personally identifiable information. YesJob generally uses such automatically collected information and data to estimate the audience size of a Site, gauge the popularity of various parts of a Site, track Users’ movements and number of entries in YesJob’s promotional activities and events, measure Users’ traffic patterns and administer a Site. Such automatically collected information and data will not be disclosed save and except in accordance with the section headed “Disclosure or Transfer of Data”.
In addition, any third party advertising companies may place cookies on some of the pages Users visit on a Site. These cookies are designed to collect non-personally identifiable information in order to analyze Users’ interests and searches on a Site to help deliver more relevant advertisements when Users visit a Site and other websites. The non-personally identifiable information collected by these cookies may be shared with other third parties for purpose of managing and targeting advertisements and for market research analysis.
Links to Other Websites
A Site may provide links to other websites which are not owned or controlled by YesJob or its affiliates. Personal information and data from Users may be collected on these other websites when Users visit such websites and make use of the services provided therein. Where and when Users decide to click on any advertisement or hyperlink on a Site which grants Users access to another website, the protection of Users’ personal information and data which are deemed to be private and confidential may be exposed in these other websites.
Non-registered Users who gain access to a Site via their accounts in online social networking tools (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc) are deemed to have consented to the terms of this Privacy Statement, and such Users’ personal data which they have provided to those networking tools may be obtained by YesJob and be used by YesJob and its authorized persons in and outside of the User’s country for the purpose of providing services and marketing materials to the Users. YesJob and its authorized personnel may gain access and use the personal data of such Users so obtained, subject to the other provisions of this Privacy Statement.
This Privacy Statement is only applicable to a Site. Users are reminded that this Privacy Statement grants no protection to Users’ personal information and data that may be exposed on websites other than a Site, and YesJob is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. Users are strongly recommended to refer to the privacy policies of such other websites before using those websites.
YesJob posts Users’ testimonials on Sites. A User consents to their feedback being listed on a Site when they submit testimonial feedback to YesJob. However, YesJob shall only show any personally identifiable information within a testimonial - such as the Users’ name or company name - if YesJob has received the prior written consent of the User to disclose such personally identifiable information within the testimonial placed on a Site.
The security of Users’ personal information and data is important to YesJob. YesJob will always strive to ensure that Users’ personal information and data will be protected against unauthorized access. YesJob has implemented appropriate electronic and managerial measures in order to safeguard, protect and secure Users’ personal information and data.
All personal information and data provided by Users are only accessible by the authorized personnel of YesJob or its authorized third parties, and such personnel shall be instructed to observe the terms of this Privacy Statement when accessing such personal information and data.
Users may rest assured that their personal information and data will only be kept for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it is collected. Registered Users should safeguard their unique Username and Password by keeping it secret and confidential and never share these details with anyone.
YesJob uses a third party service provider to facilitate Employer electronic payment transactions on a Site.
YesJob follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information and data submitted by Users to a Site, both during transmission and once YesJob receives it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, whilst YesJob strives to protect Users’ personal information and data against unauthorized access, YesJob cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Retention of Personal Data
Once YesJob has obtained a User’s personal information and/or data, it will be maintained securely in YesJob’s system for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected. Once registered, Users may terminate their membership of a Site by deleting their account or contacting YesJob on the appropriate email address as stated below. YesJob may retain a User’s personal information even after a User has deleted his/her account if retention is reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes between Users, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce this Privacy Statement and the Terms and Conditions.
Changes in this Privacy Statement
YesJob reserves the right to update, revise, modify or amend this Privacy Statement at any time as YesJob deems necessary. Therefore, Users are strongly recommended to review this Privacy Statement frequently.
If YesJob decides to update, revise, modify or amend this Privacy Statement, YesJob will post those changes to a Site and/or other places YesJob deems appropriate so that Users would be aware of what information YesJob collects, how YesJob uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, YesJob discloses it.
If YesJob makes material changes to this Privacy Statement, YesJob will notify Users on a Site, by email, or by means of a notice on the home page of YesJob’s website. Such changes to this Privacy Statement shall apply from the time that YesJob posts the same on a Site. Users’ continued use of a Site or the services on a Site shall constitute acceptance of the changes to this Privacy Statement.
